A Waikato dairy business built on pasture, patience and detail
Apex Farms NZ Limited was incorporated on 4 August 2024 to operate a modern dairy cattle farming enterprise in one of New Zealand's most productive farming regions.
The Waikato is dairy country for a reason — reliable rainfall, deep fertile soils and a long growing season that lets grass do most of the work. Our job is to manage that advantage well: matching stocking rate to feed supply, keeping cows in good condition, and leaving the land in better shape than we found it.

What we do
Dairy farming, end to end
From the first grass of spring through to the milk that leaves the vat, every part of the operation is planned, measured and reviewed.

Plan the season
Feed budgets, calving dates and stocking decisions are set well ahead of time, then adjusted as conditions change.
Grow quality pasture
Soil testing, targeted nutrient use and rotation lengths matched to growth rates keep grass in front of the herd.
Look after the cows
Calm stock handling, prompt treatment, good tracks and shade — small details that add up to healthy, productive animals.
Measure and improve
Production, animal health and environmental records are reviewed each season so the next one is better than the last.

A dairy farm is only as good as the land underneath it. We take a practical, compliance-led approach to environmental management — protecting waterways, managing effluent properly and building soil that will still be productive for the next generation.
